Aly Michalka

Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka (/mɪˈʃɑːkə/; born March 25, 1989) is an American actress and recording artist. Michalka gained fame for playing the role of Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel original series Phil of the Future. She is also known for her roles as Marti Perkins in the CW television drama Hellcats, Taylor Callum in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, and Rhiannon Abernathy in the Golden Globe-nominated teen film Easy A. She is also known as one half of the musical duo 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ) with her sister AJ Michalka. Aly has modeled for OP (Ocean Pacific) and Penumbra. She has also done fashion shoots for Maxim, OK! and Zooey.

Michalka was born in Torrance, California. She grew up in Seattle, Washington and Southern California, with younger her sister, Amanda "AJ". Her father, Mark, owns a contracting company, and her mother, Carrie, is a musician and performed with the Christian "JC Band". She has Polish, German, English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish ancestry.

Michalka made her acting debut as Keely Teslow on the Disney Channel Original Series, Phil of the Future. She has also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Now You See It..., and Cow Belles, in which she appears opposite her sister. She had a leading role in the Walden Media film Bandslam, released in August 2009. She also played a role in the movie The Roommate. In 2004, Michalka was cast in the role of Keely Teslow on the Disney Channel's Phil of the Future. The series premiered on June 18, 2004. In August 2006, Disney Channel ended the series after two seasons. Michalka also appeared in two Disney movies, Cow Belles and Now You See It.... Michalka made a guest appearance on CSI: NY, and in 2006, starred in an unsold Disney Channel pilot Haversham Hall which was not picked up. In 2007, Michalka starred alongside her sister AJ in the MTV television film Super Sweet 16: The Movie based on the MTV original series My Super Sweet 16. She played the role of the villainous popular mean girl Taylor Tiara. In 2009, she appeared in the Summit Entertainment musical comedy film Bandslam about a group of misfits who form a rock band.

In April 2010, The CW announced Michalka was cast in the main role of Marti Perkins on the cheerleading drama series Hellcats. The show premiered to September 8, 2010 to 3 million viewers. Despite a successful premiere, ratings failed to remain high with the series finale reaching a low 1.19 million viewers. In May 2011, The CW announced the show was not renewed for a second season. In 2010 and 2011 respectively, Michalka had major supporting roles in films Easy A and The Roommate. Michalka appeared in the independent drama film Crazy Kind of Love alongside Eva Longoria, Virginia Madsen and Amanda Crew. The film was released in July 2013.

In 2013, Michalka began a multi-episode role on the sitcom Two and a Half Men as Brooke, the love interest of Amber Tamblyn's character, Jenny Harper (who is the lesbian, illegitimate daughter of Charlie Sheen's past character of Charlie Harper and niece to current character Alan Harper played by Jon Cryer).

In 2015, she was cast in The CW television series, iZombie, in a recurring role. In early May 2015, it was revealed that the previously untitled drama film she shot with sister, Amanda "AJ", was called Weepah Way for Now. The film was written and directed by her husband, Stephen Ringer, and shot in Laurel Canyon, California in July 2014. Michalka participated in the casting and production process in addition to acting in the film. It is scheduled to premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 16, 2015.

Michalka and her sister comprise the musical duo 78violet, and released their first album, Into the Rush, on August 16, 2005. In September 2006, they brought out a holiday album covering 9 tracks, along with two originals, titled Acoustic Hearts of Winter. In July 2007, their third album, Insomniatic, hit stores, featuring the American top 20 hit single, "Potential Breakup Song". The two were to release a fourth album in early 2010, but it was canceled after they left their label. They released a new single entitled "Hothouse" on July 8, 2013, with a new album expected to follow.

Michalka has played the piano since she was five and started playing the guitar at the age of 13. She started acting when she was five years old, mostly in church play productions. In 2012, Michalka began dating independent film producer, Stephen Ringer, whom she met on the set of her film, Sequoia. The couple became engaged at Big Sur, California, in July 2014. They married in a small ceremony in Portofino, Italy in early June 2015. She was raised a Christian and continues to practice.

Allison Scagliotti

Allison Glenn Scagliotti (skæliˈoʊti; born September 21, 1990) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles in Drake & Josh and Syfy television series, Warehouse 13.

Scagliotti was born in Monterey, California. At age five, she moved to Mandeville, Louisiana, where she joined her school's drama club. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother in 2003, and continues to be based in Los Angeles for work and travels to her home in Monterey when possible.

Scagliotti studied at New York University.

Scagliotti has had numerous small television roles during her career including One Tree Hill, and CSI as well as the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101. Scagliotti also had a recurring role on Drake & Josh, as Mindy Crenshaw, Josh's rival and later girlfriend. She appeared in seven episodes from 2004 to 2008. She reprised her role in the spin-off movie, Merry Christmas, Drake and Josh.

Her first lead role was as Maddie in the 2005 short film Redemption Maddie.

Scagliotti is best known for her portrayal of the character Claudia Donovan in the 2009 series, Warehouse 13 on Syfy. Her character was introduced early in the premiere season and she appeared in most of the remaining episodes (though credited as a guest star until season two). Her character crossed over to Eureka when she guest-starred in the season four episode "Crossing Over". She helped co-host SyFy's Ghost Hunters Live on Halloween 2010.

She appeared as Jayna, the female Wonder Twin, in Idol the 8th episode of the ninth season of Smallville.

She has appeared as a guest on the show Destination Truth and The Nerdist Podcast hosted by Chris Hardwick.

She has also appeared as a guest star on Geek & Sundry's TableTop, hosted by Wil Wheaton.

She appeared in the indie film Losers Take All, set in the 1980s rock music scene.

In December 2012, Scagliotti appeared in Darren Caulley's play Unhealthy. She played the lead role of Michelle, a struggling actress. Unhealthy premiered December 4 at HERE Arts Center in New York, NY.

In 2014, Scagliotti joined the advisory board of Sci-Fest, the first annual Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival, held in May 2014.

 

Victoria Justice

Victoria Dawn Justice (born February 19, 1993) is an American actress and singer. She debuted as an actress at the age of ten and has since appeared in several films and television series including the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 and Victorious. She has made appearances in several theatrical releases, including Unknown as well as the 2006 thriller The Garden. She has appeared in several Nickelodeon series, including True Jackson, VP, The Troop, The Penguins of Madagascar and iCarly, as well as on the Nickelodeon game shows BrainSurge and Figure It Out as a contestant. In 2010, she starred in the Nickelodeon film The Boy Who Cried Werewolf.

Aside from acting, Justice is involved in her musical career. She has performed several songs for the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon musical Spectacular!, in which she starred. She has recorded a number of songs for the Victorious series.

Justice was born in Hollywood, Florida, to Serene and Zack Justice. She has a younger sister named Madison. Justice's father is of English, German, and Irish descent, and her mother is of Puerto Rican origin. She and her family relocated to Hollywood, California, in 2003. In 2005, she auditioned and was accepted into the musical theatre program at Los Angeles' Millikan Performing Arts Academy. Justice has done commercials for companies such as Ralph Lauren, Gap and Guess. She appeared in national commercials for Mervyn's, Peanut Butter Toast Crunch and Ovaltine.

Justice began her acting career when she was 10 years old, when she made a guest appearance on the Gilmore Girls episode "The Hobbit, the Sofa and Digger Stiles". Justice portrayed Jill No. 2 in a walk-on role. After her appearance in the series, her family moved to Los Angeles, when Justice stated she wanted a career in acting. The following year, Justice guest starred on the second episode of the Disney channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, in which she played a young pageant contestant named Rebecca. Later, Justice was awarded a role in the 2005 drama-thriller Mary. Justice portrayed the role of Stella, a young girl who begins seeing visions of Mary Magdalene. The film debuted at 2005 Venice Film Festival, before being showed at several other Festivals, including the 2005 Toronto Film Festival, Deauville Film Festival and the San Sebastián International Film Festival. During the same year, Justice was awarded a main role in the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 as Lola Martinez, a new student who is also an aspiring actress. When she found out she had earned the role, she said, "I was extremely happy; I was bouncing up and down and screaming. That was a really great moment." The season two episode that introduced Justice's character debuted on September 11, 2005. Justice also had roles in two other films that year. She had a cameo appearance in the R-rated film When Do We Eat?, as well as earning the role of Rose in the Hallmark television film Silver Bells, the following of which has become a Hallmark Hall of Fame film.

In 2006, while filming episodes for Zoey 101, Justice made a guest appearance on an episode of the series Everwood, in the episode "Enjoy the Ride". Justice made her theatrical film debut that year, when she was given a cameo role in the film Unknown. The film was a financial failure, and received mixed reviews from critics. Also in 2006, Justice played the supporting role of Holly in the thriller film The Garden. The film was met with negative reviews from critics. Justice focused on seasons three and four of Zoey 101 in 2007 and 2008. Those were the years when it was coming to a close. Justice released a promotional single midway through 2007, while she was still filming Zoey 101. The song was a cover of the Vanessa Carlton song, "A Thousand Miles". May 2, 2008, saw the airing of the final episode of the series. In 2009, she announced plans to guest star on an episode of Nickelodeon's series The Naked Brothers Band. The TV special, titled Valentine Dream Date featured Justice portraying herself. Justice made no plans of going back into the recording studio until 2009, when she starred in the Nickelodeon musical, Spectacular!. Justice's character performs three songs during film. Justice starred alongside Nolan Funk and Simon Curtis in the musical film, which aired on Nickelodeon on February 16, 2009. The film has become one of Nickelodeon's most popular movies, attracting an audience 3.7 million viewers on its premiere night. The film received a generally positive review from several critics, holding a 76% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of 2011.

After the success of The Naked Brothers Band special in which Justice guest starred she appeared in another episode, "The Premiere", on April 11, 2009. She later appeared episodes of iCarly, True Jackson, VP, and The Troop, and on the game show BrainSurge. Justice announced in 2009 that she would be working on a thriller film, set for theatrical release. It was later announced the film would feature Dylan Sprouse and Cole Sprouse. Unlike initial plans of a theatrical release, the film had a limited preview release on December 12, 2009, and was returned to post production. Despite this, the film's worldwide release was canceled.

Justice confirmed that she would be receiving her own musical show on Nickelodeon called Victorious, explaining the show's genesis thus: "I was on Zoey 101. When I was 12, Dan Schneider cast me as a new character, Lola Martinez. From there, I worked with him for three years, on three seasons of Zoey 101. And, after that, Dan found out that I could also sing and dance as well as act, so he thought it would be really cool to create a show for me on Nickelodeon, called Victorious." The pilot for the show, which was presented as a special for the series, debuted on March 27, 2010, and received 5.7 million views, making it the second-highest rated premiere for a live-action Nickelodeon series. The original broadcast of this episode was an extended cut, all subsequent airings had various scenes and lines were removed to conform to its time-slot.

Justice returned to the recording studio to record music for the series in 2010. She recorded the series first featured song, which also serves as the theme song, titled "Make It Shine". Several other songs have been featured in the series, including "You're the Reason", "Beggin' on Your Knees" and "Best Friend's Brother". Justice performed her third official single, "Freak the Freak Out", during the Victorious special episode of the same name. Justice later guest-starred on the animated series The Penguins of Madagascar, voicing the character of Stacy in the episode "Badger Pride". Justice starred in the 2010 Nickelodeon television movie The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, playing Jordan Sands, a girl who is transformed into a werewolf following her move to a creepy manor. The film was a major success for the network, drawing in 5.8 million viewers for the premiere. The film received generally positive reviews from critics. The film currently holds a 69% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes based on 24 reviews. In 2011, the cast of iCarly, along with the cast of Victorious starred in a crossover episode, titled iParty with Victorious. This marked the second time Justice has guest starred for iCarly, first as Shelby Marx. Victorious ended on February 2, 2013 due to reaching its 60-episode limit, therefore not having a proper ending.

In a 2010 interview with the Associated Press, she stated that she is recording an album but would take her time with the process, rather than rush it, and write the songs on the album. But, she is very excited waiting for it. Justice released onto iTunes a song from Victorious called "Countdown", on February 18, 2012. It was co-recorded with her co-star Leon Thomas III. The next single she released was on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, with "Take a Hint" being released to iTunes on March 3, 2012. This was her first duet with Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies. In October 2012, she revealed she will release her debut album in 2013, stating "It's going to be pop". Justice played the lead role, Wren, in the comedy Fun Size, released on October 26, 2012. The movie also featured stars Johnny Knoxville, Chelsea Handler and Josh Pence.

Justice's debut single, "Gold", was released on June 18, 2013. The single also has a B-side titled "Shake". On October 11, 2013, it was announced that Justice was cast as Lindy Sampson in MTV's Eye Candy, a cyber thriller based on the novel by R. L. Stine. Justice's debut album was originally expected to be released sometime in 2014. However, in August of that year, Billboard revealed that Justice had left Columbia Records, but was recording new music, to be released "next year sometime". Justice reportedly will release her debut album, Shake, some time in 2015. Aside from the lead single "Gold" and its B-side "Shake", two songs have premiered on Justice's YouTube channel, "Caught Up in You" and "Girl Up". "Girl Up" was written by Justice and Toby Gad for the Girl Up movement, which helps girls in developing countries.

Alison Brie

Alison Brie Schermerhorn (born December 29, 1982), known professionally as Alison Brie, is an American actress. She is known for portraying Annie Edison on the NBC / Yahoo sitcom Community and Trudy Campbell on the AMC drama Mad Men. She has starred in films such as Scream 4 (2011), The Five-Year Engagement (2012), The Lego Movie (2014) and Get Hard (2015).

Brie was born in Hollywood, California. Her mother, Joanne (née Brenner), works at Para los Niños ("For the Children"), a non-profit child care agency. and her father, Charles Terry Schermerhorn, is a musician and freelance entertainment reporter.

Brie's mother is Jewish and her father has Dutch, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. Brie has stated that, while being raised by her divorced parents, she occasionally attended with her father a "Christian-Hindu hybrid church", the Self-Realization Fellowship, while her mother "would always make sure we knew we were Jewish".

Brie began her career acting onstage at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor's in theater in 2005. Prior to becoming a movie actress, Brie worked as a clown at birthday parties and performed in theater in California. For a time, she studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Scotland.

One of Brie's first television roles was Nina, a novice hairdresser, on Hannah Montana. She went on to star in the web series My Alibi, and was chosen for the role of Trudy Campbell in Mad Men. Since 2009, she has portrayed Annie Edison on the NBC sitcom Community. In April 2010, she co-hosted an episode of Attack of the Show!, and appeared in a short segment on Web Soup. She appeared in the 2010 film Montana Amazon. She made Maxim magazine's 2010 Hot 100 list at number 99, and appeared at number 49 in their 2011 list. She was voted the 56th sexiest woman in the world by FHM readers in 2013. She was also voted the 2nd most desirable woman in the world by Askmen readers in 2014.

Brie has had several major film roles. She starred as Sidney Prescott's assistant in the 2011 horror film Scream 4, and appeared in the 2012 comedy film The Five-Year Engagement. She voiced Uni-Kitty in The Lego Movie (2014), and will voice a character in an episode of the long-running adult animation series American Dad!, which is aired as part of the show's 10th season.

In June 2014, Brie joined the cast of the Netflix series BoJack Horseman, which debuted on August 22. She played Will Ferrell's character's fiancée in the 2015 comedy film Get Hard.
